Due to the Covid-19 situation, the Alberta 5 Pin Bowlers’ Association is offering the following event that can be bowled in open play
Pins Over Average Singles Tournament

- Open to all members of the Alberta 5 Pin Bowlers’ Association including Youth Challenge aged members
- Bowl between xxxxx and xxxxx
- Three games will be bowled in pins over average format
- To enter please fill in the YOUR ENTRY FORM shown below.
- Your average from the 2019 – 2020 season will be used
- You must use the highest league average if you were bowling multiple times a week
- Your home bowling centre can supply the average
- Entry fee is $25
- A $10 prize fee must be paid by electronic transfer to the A5PBA office a minimum of 24 hours prior to your shift.
- Cheques will be accepted if received by the office prior to your chosen date – (late cheques will not be returned or refunded).
- A $15 lineage fee will be paid to the bowling centre upon arrival for your games.
- You must have a 2020 – 2021 Alberta 5 Pin membership card
- You can purchase your card at the bowling centre
- You can also purchase your card online as shown below.
- Payment is made by using the PAY YOUR FEES section below
- After bowling your shift, scores must be submitted to the tournament chair. See SUBMIT YOUR RESULTS
- Prizes will be allocated as follows,
- Overall winner receives xx.xx% of the prize pool
- 2nd place winner receives xx.xx% of the prize pool
- 3rd place winner receives xx.xx% of the prize pool
- 4th place winner receives xx.xx% of the prize pool
- 5th place winner receives xx.xx% of the prize pool
- Etc
- In the event of ties monies will be pooled and distributed accordingly. (for example if 1st place is tied, then 1st and 2nd prize will be added, divided by two and given equally to the shared winners.)
Notes on potential cancellation:
- In the event of cancellation prior to the event and due to the pandemic, entry fees monies will be returned to competitors
- If cancellation is required during the tournament period, then prizes will be allocated on the basis of those who have completed their games. Those who have not bowled will be refunded their entry fee.
By checking the box below, you acknowledge that you
- will adhere to all Covid-19 regulations in your bowling centre.
- are a current season (2020-2021) paid 5 pin card holder,
- that you will submit your prize payment ($10) to the 5 Pin office at least 24 hours before you bowl,
- that you will pay a $15 lineage fee to the host bowling centre upon arrival for your shift
- that you will submit the scores bowled to the tournament chair within two hours of finishing your shift.
Failure to meet the above terms will nullify your entry, resulting in loss of prize money and disqualification from the event.

You will need to print this form to present at the lanes to have proprietors verify your average and scores.
At the lanes use the form you printed out to record your scores and get the manager (or staff member) to verify your scores and average.
Once the form is complete please take a good (readable) photo and submit your scores to the office by email
